Road Roller Remanufacturing Overview

Road rollers bear continuous vibration load, rolling extrusion and long-time idling operation in pavement compaction projects, which easily leads to vibration system failure, frame fatigue, hydraulic leakage and chassis aging.
REMAN ROAD standardized road roller remanufacturing process focuses on the core vibration compaction unit and whole vehicle wear parts, fully restoring compaction efficiency, running stability and service life to original factory new machine criteria.

Step 1: Incoming Inspection & Equipment Condition Evaluation

Record cumulative working hours, vibration performance, engine running status, frame tightness and hydraulic system faults of used road rollers. Eliminate severely damaged equipment incapable of restoration, and develop targeted remanufacturing plans according to different wear degrees.

Step 2: Complete Non-Destructive Whole Machine Disassembly

Fully take apart the whole roller including vibration exciter, compaction drum, engine, hydraulic assembly, walking chassis and electrical components. All disassembled parts are numbered, classified and filed into repairable, scrapped replacement and intact reusable groups.

Step 3: Comprehensive Deep Cleaning & Descaling Treatment

High-pressure steam washing and sandblasting are applied to the vehicle frame and compaction drum to clear cement residue, rust, oil sludge and old coatings. Ultrasonic cleaning is adopted for hydraulic valves, vibration shafts and precision internal parts to remove internal metal debris and dirt thoroughly.

Step 4: Compaction Drum & Frame Flaw Detection & Repair

Carry out penetration flaw detection on the roller drum and main frame to check for cracks, bending deformation and surface abrasion. Repair cracks via structural welding, correct drum roundness deviation and conduct wear-resistant surfacing treatment to guarantee uniform pavement compaction effect.

Step 5: Vibration Exciter System Overhaul & Calibration

Disassemble and inspect the vibration shaft, eccentric block and bearing assembly inside the vibration unit. Replace all worn bearings and aging shock-absorbing rubber blocks, calibrate vibration frequency and amplitude to eliminate weak vibration, abnormal noise and vibration attenuation issues.

Step 6: Walking & Drive System Maintenance

Inspect drive motors, reducers and traveling transmission components. Renew severely worn gear parts and sealing assemblies, adjust internal fit clearance to realize smooth forward & backward movement without slipping or power loss during compaction work.

Step 7: Hydraulic System Overall Renewal & Debugging

Disassemble and test steering cylinders, vibration hydraulic pumps and multi-way control valves. Replace all aged oil seals, hydraulic hoses and vulnerable fittings, calibrate system pressure to eradicate oil leakage, slow steering and unstable vibration output.

Step 8: Engine Maintenance & Stable Power Restoration

Overhaul internal wearing parts of the engine, replace cylinder liners, piston rings and filter elements, clean fuel injection systems and adjust fuel supply parameters. Ensure the engine maintains steady power output under long-duration vibrating working conditions.

Step 9: Standard Assembly & Electrical System Upgrade

Reassemble all components strictly in accordance with OEM assembly sequences and torque specifications. Replace aging wiring harnesses, controllers and sensors to ensure sensitive control response and accurate operation panel display.

Step 10: Continuous Full-Load Compaction Test & Acceptance

Conduct uninterrupted pavement rolling, vibration switching and ramp traveling durability tests. Verify compaction density, vibration stability, steering flexibility and sealing performance; only fully qualified rollers are allowed to leave the factory.

Step 11: Anti-Corrosion Spraying, Traceability Labeling & Warranty Issuance

Complete whole vehicle anti-rust primer and wear-resistant topcoat painting, paste exclusive traceable identification codes. Collate all testing records and parts replacement documents, and provide official global after-sales warranty services for worldwide road construction contractors.
